With just a couple of weeks left before I can no longer claim to be a Portlander, I just wanted to say that these last couple years here have been absolutely incredible. Despite the countless homeless crackheads and the fact that its difficult to find housing or a solid means of income, this city has made me some of the highest quality friends Ive known and given me experiences that I couldnt possibly have had anywhere else. To say it has left a lasting impression on me would be an understatement (well see how long this moustache lasts however). From the coffee, craft beer and distilleries to the endless unparalleled foodie options to the incredible creative vibes the city radiates, Portland has definitely been one hell of a place for me to call home. All good things must come to an end however, and Ive gotta keep on keepin on. Though Ill miss this crazy city and the wonderful friends Ive made, Ill surely be back for yearly visits, so dont think youre rid of me for good. I encourage everyone to please keep in touch over the next year or so while I traverse the country with my guitar if youd care to, and also please feel free to swing by StreetCar Bistro & Taproom this Saturday between 8:30 and 11:30 to celebrate with me and catch my final performance in town. SO many thanks to everyone who has made my time here in the Pacific Northwest so memorable. I cant wait to exchange stories over beers next year when I come back through in the fall.
