With less than Ten Week till our first foal is due (exciting!) a little focus on the sire of the first foal. Peyres Sully Cortez R Owned by Sue Feast ApHC USA 93% FPD , ApHCUK, BApS Grade B Imported Few Spot Stallion (100% Colour Producer) Roux was imported from France as a foal, from the Peyres stud, he is a high foundation stallion, he has been shown in hand since a yearling and has won many championships with the ApHC and in Open classes as well. He has been National champion on a couple of occasions and won an International Top Ten award. He has been very much under used in the UK being some much needed new bloodlines, but with limited progeny on the ground they have won quite a lot of championships and Supreme Championships. The eldest are now just coming out under saddle. Roux is western trained although I think he would very much be suited to Dressage as well ;) We chose him for Mels Miss Sooty for a number of reasons. He has the benefit of being a 100% Colour producer, ideal for Mels Miss Sooty (solid) he is also a very high foundation, the resulting offspring should be 100% FPD and a BApS Grade A, his conformation being very good in particular he should really compliment Mels Miss Sooty (kizzie) being very short and compact in his body and having a really balanced harmonious topline. Roux stands at 15.1hh similar in height to Kizzie, although both have progeny around the 15.3/16hh mark. This foal should be of great interest to Foundation Enthusiasts but also those keen on showing. Both parents offspring have been champions in the show ring, both Dam and Sire have been champions. The foals Sire, Dam Sire and Grand Dam Sire all won International Top Tens! Colour genetics research also suggests with Kizzie strong Solid breeding (mother also solid) and Roux being a few spot the markings should be incredibly impressive.....we hope!
