With over 600,000 registered voters in Montserrado County only over 95, 000 voted in just ended Senatorial elections. Mr. George M. Weah of the CDC won about 75,000 of that number. But there is a clear message here: that the people overwhelmingly rejected the candidates and the process of electing the next senator of the county. No one then has absolute political dominance of the county as only less than one-sixth of the electorates participated in the senatorial elections. Such significant non-participation and declining total ballots cast in favor of George Weahs CDC that brag of the countrys capital county as their stronghold suggests that the field in Montserrado may be more opened than thought and that anyone/institution who/that is able to mobilize the disenchanted non-voting registered voters who make up the large majority in Montserrado actually can establish claim over the county. For now, judging from the statistics, it is any mans territory!!
