With regard to this story and what my daughter says below on her FB, we ask that the community please show the level of respect, maturity, and sensitivity that my 17 year old daughter is showing. She and her marching band are a family, and have worked very hard under the guidance and direction of Bridgette, their band director. She has brought these kids together as a team, encouraged them to work to their fullest potential, and given them the confidence to excel. Please dont crush that for them. Thank you. We ask that courtesy and respect is kept in order for the good of our students. The kids in band have done nothing wrong and every harsh word said has the power to tear students apart. Its personal and it is NOT a joking matter. By no means am i telling you what to believe, your opinion is your own right. I will fight for what i believe in too. However, our students deserve respect and sympathy in a time like this. These kids are so special, and we are one huge family. We will continue to be the strong program we always have been, regardless of any obstacles facing us. Thank you.
