With the 2014 MLB All Star game approaching, I inexplicably, stumbled across my un-punched ballot from the 1979 season. A bit stained, but notice no hanging-chads on this ballot;-) and it was long before Al Gore invented the internet (hmmmmm) and on-line voting! IMO the ballot is chock-full of names from the era...Carl Yastrzemski, Reggie Jackson, Willie Stargell and Johnny Bench just to name but a few. I think that is actually the Braves Dale Murphy in the catcher nominees group....before switching to outfield. Enjoy the baseball lore
