His uncle by marriage is current Boston Bruins defenseman Johnny Boychuk and his second cousin is former NHL player and current Chicago Blackhawks head coach Joel Quenneville. • He was part of Team Canada’s bronze-medal winning team at the 2014 Under-18 World Championship and represented Team Pacific at the 2013 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge.
