With the First Jewish War, the elements of ‘ge’ were melted away (2 Peter 3:10). (The Book of Revelation uses ‘ge’ abundantly (Revelation 1:5,7; 3:10; 5:3,6,10,13; 6:4,8,10,13,15; 7:1,2,3; 8:5,7,13; 9:1,3,4; 10:2,5,6,8; 11:4,6,10,18; 12:4,9,12,13,16, 13:3,8,11,12,13,14; 14:3,6,7,15,16,18,19; 16:1,2,14,18; 17:2,5,8,1; 18:1,3,9,11,23,24; 19:2,19; 20:8,9,11; 21:1, 24). If those judgments were universal as the dispensationalists would have us believe, why isn’t the word ‘kosmos’ used in reference to those judgments? From this we receive the new heaven and earth (2 Peter 3:13) which is the Church—the Old temple system has been judged completely. The widow no longer must harass the unrighteous judge for justice. Those who cling to the ministry of death (2 Corinthians 3:7) have been cast out. From this we get the difficult road; a road in which too many dispensationalists unfortunately would feel abandoned. Such is the consequence of listening to false teaching which ultimately orphans its adherents.
