With the SNAP program cut by Congress, I am sick and tired of hearing so many people talk about how they see recipients driving around in fancy cars, wearing fur coats, buying unnecessary items when it is a proven fact that there is only a small percentage of people receiving food stamps who are abusing the system. I know I dont see that type of behavior at the grocery store. Some people are so afraid of this minority that they would rather see benefits cut for those who really need it, like CHILDREN, than have the program work as it was intended. And another thing. How do these people know the food stamp recipients are driving around in fancy cars? Do they see someone pay for groceries with food stamps then follow them outside to check out their vehicle? Honestly, I think most of these naysayers are repeating crap they hear on Fox News or theyre listening to that consummate liar, Rush Limbaugh. I swear some people are too selfish and paranoid for words. Im pretty sure there are some wholl unfriendly me for this post. Wont be the first time or the last. In fact, youll be doing me a favor because I wont have to see you complaining about topics such as this on my newsfeed. Oh, and if you think Obama is a Muslim born in Kenya, you can go on down the road as well. Life is too short to be filled with hatred.
