With the awakening, a merging of the two Kundalini energies begins to take place. A dynamic polarity still exists between awakened Shakti Kundalini and spiritual Kundalini, but they begin to act synchronistically. It may be analogous to the image of two north-pole magnets facing each other as they spiral up the spine. The energy generated by this synchronistic interaction purifies and spiritualizes the body and helps to charge and awaken the chakras. The energy not only begins to move through the subtle nervous system of the whole body, but also begins to open up the sushumna, or central channel, the major path for Kundalini flow in the body.
