With the election coming up I think we all need to know where the candidates for town council stand on rejuvinizing(sp) the downtown area. Heard some things today which made me not a happy camper. I guess there are those that want to open businesses up in the downtown area but the town council is putting up roadblocks for example someone would like to open a coffee shop kind of restaurant however at the meeting where told they would have to hire an architect ton plan it all outbid they decide to do it in a building that hasnt been a restaurant before and that those plans would need to be approved by the town council. Hmmm do they own the buildings? Also was mentioned that there is one the council that would prefer for the downtown area tobgo away and bring in a target? Yikes basi tell me candidates where do u stand on helping new business in the downtown area and helping current businesses stay open?
