With the events of this week with Ms. Lehner in trouble before the House Oversight Committee Chaired by the dastardly Darryl Issa I feel it necessary to discuss the matter of Citizens United, a terribly wrong decision by the Supreme Court. First of all I think Ms Lehner and others in the IRS have every right to do their jobs how they see fit. When elections happen the funding of campaigns and Campaign Finance Reform are important factors to consider since people generally make decisions these days on the advertisements just before the campaign. When one side is able to pay tons more than the other it is horrible public policy because there is no balance of views. Justice Scalia says the intent of laws is not something to consider but I say it is. Now is the time to stand together against the Supreme Court decision Citizens United so the Federal Elections Commission may maintain good campaign financing rules. supremecourt.gov/contactus.aspx
