With the lack of response to this song I have become convinced that the majority of people no longer know, understand or appreciate the importance of powerful and beautiful music to our existence. Maybe I am missing the mark, but this song speaks volumes to me. Or maybe I am becoming the dinosaur and tripping extinction such as the band who wrote and sings this song and if so then God help us. All of us.... In our entrancement of all the mundane and the constantly checking of our smartphones have we all become NUMB???? We have become incapable of ordinary love as this song suggests.....why....because of media....especially social media....it is like a drug worse than heroin or morphine.....seeping into our sleepy and mindless conciousness devouring our souls....even long term loving couples are losing sight of each other blinded by the constant fix of another green smiley textface, FB hit or email.... Even as we drive our vehicles subliminally to work, putting on the morning make-up or shaving the six oclock shadow sitting at a stop sign.....ordinary love is anything but.....that is the point.....so many have lost their focus on what really matters....we are all driving too fast and too preoccupied.....the point is........STOP...................!!!!!!! Stop......even for just a few seconds.....take a deep breath......think about what really matters......slow down.....when you really stop.....and think......how many things.....or people in your life really matters.....is life worth rushing past those things........?
