With the night unexpectedly off, I just watched a super cute, yet educational show on Netflix. I was already convinced, & this just drove it home even more about how deeply we need the Beaver. Keystone species, & I think the Wolf is also. The Wolf will keep the Elk on the move so that they dont eat down all the young aspen, etc. that will provide the Beaver with all it needs. This show doesnt quite address the interconnectedness of the species, & paints wolves as more of a threat to the beavers, but in a deeper perspective, the beavers actually need the wolf to keep the elk, moose, & other grazers on the move so they can build their homes & feed their families.
