With the possible continuation of the teachers strike and Julia scrambling to potentially find work (maternity leave requires 600hrs) we are faced with potentially needing childcare for Elizabeth. Licensed daycare doesnt look too good. The wait lists, deposit, and pay by month wont work for our equation. do you know any qualified early childcare educators who perhaps are in a subbing situation and might be interested? Maybe there are other kindergarten aged children in similar situation and we could create a community temporary situation. I know of the $40 per day idea.... Ideas?
