With the storm predictions for this afternoon and tonight being what they are, I urge everyone to be on alert and to be prepared to take cover in case of an emergency. If there are warnings posted, the Fire Department and I will be on watch for tornadoes. We will also be on watch for the possibility of a Derencho. I will be sounding the alarm if there is any chance of either of these happening in our area. Please have a plan in place for your household in case of emergency and use that plan if the alarm is going off. It is also a good idea to have an emergency preparedness kit ready. The alarm will continue to blow until all signs of danger are gone. Hopefully none of this will be necessary, but it is all information that you need to be aware of.
