Withholding is yet another form of abuse that a narcissist uses in their arsenal of abuse tactics. Their final act of abuse is withholding closure in the form of not apologizing, discarding you without a word, refusing to come to a peaceful resolution, refusing to speak of the abuses and take responsibility, refusal to be accountable, twisting the reality of the story where they falsely make you their perpetrator, etc. Ultimately they withhold closure because giving it to you would mean that theyre giving up control and a narcissist will NEVER, I repeat NEVER give up control.
