Within the last 6 days, I have heard of 4 deaths. One of them was too close to heart, someone with whom I stayed even the week before she passed away. No matter how strong or how prepared you are, or, no matter how much heads up and doctors warnings come, its really never easy to deal with the ultimate worldly good-bye. Despite everything, you always hope that the person will recover, or heal but then you are faced with the REALITY abruptly. It breaks your routine, and forces you to stop. Its the best wake up call one can have - whether or not you believe in the hereafter, or one God, or hellfire. It lets you know that your time here is limited and whatever it is you kinda sorta were going to get around to doing needs your earnest attention - NOW. All of a sudden you are forced to really think what it is that is truly important to you. And, if you are lucky enough to know what you truly value, when you think about death, its actually remarkably easy to set forth on a journey to chase your dream. We dont beat the Grim Reaper by living longer, we beat the Reaper by living well and living fully, for the Reaper will come for all of us. The question is what do we do between the time we are born and the time he shows up. - Randy Pausch
