Within two days, I have heard about three different domestic violence situations. Sadly, it took me down memory lane & brought issues I still deal with many years later to the forefront. I believe physical abuse is easier to heal from. Emotional can be ongoing & is harder to recognize. I share this because I am surviving by the grace of God. This is my testimony. It isnt the badge Id like to wear because I still hurts. I share this today to encourage others, as well myself. Abusers are disappointments to themselves. Finding my strength has been a positive. Knowing my personality & who I am inside, I know I never deserved it, but nobody does. I just pray that while I dont forget, that one day it will no longer affect me the way it has. If you are going through it, please get out!!! You cant help them, you cant change them! Dont pay with your life because someone else is miserable within. People you know may make jokes, be judgmental or say insensitive things. However, help is out here! I am here also...Praise God!
