Without the Priest there are no sacraments, without the sacraments there is no Catholic Church The priesthood isnt just a job where you check in on Sunday and check out, its a life commitment of service. Of leading people to God through sacrificing there life for the sanctification of souls. Following Gods will for you is the ONLY way to happiness in this life and life eternal, and holy Priests are great examples to look to on someone who does the will of God. The Priest is the one who brings Heaven to earth. The Priest is the one who offers the sacrifice of the Mass which is the same sacrifice of Jesus on the cross which brought forth Life eternal, and St. John Vianney said, If we really understood the mass, we would die of Joy. The Priest is the one who consecrates the Eucharist that when received by us makes us living Tabernacles of Jesus in his body, blood, soul, and divinity. Priests are the real deal.
