Witness Appeal. Pontefract NPT PCSO Paul Guest is appealing for any witnesses that may be able to assist in locating a suspect. The circumstances are that the complainant was driving his vehicle along Western Avenue and approaching Baghill Lane on Friday the 23rd October at 15.30hrs, he was driving slowly as the school crossing was in full swing at the time. At this point a white male, 6,2’. Slim build, dark hair wearing a grey jacket and blue jeans has walked into the road causing the driver to stop, this male has then proceeded to walk over the vehicle from front to rear causing damage to the paintwork, and some alarm to the driver and his young daughter in the vehicle. The driver has got out to speak with this male, but the male has been verbally aggressive towards him and made out to kick out at him, he was very angry in his manner and appeared agitated, another male has approached this suspect, he may or may not know him, and moved him on and advised the driver to get out of the way, which he has to avoid further confrontation. Although not a serious crime the manner of this male leaves a lot to be desired, the driver of the vehicle may have been old and vulnerable and had he approached the male the situation could have been much more serious. If anyone was present at the time and can identify this male please let Paul know, or forward the information to the Police using 101, or Crime Stopper on 0800 555 111.
