***** Witness appeal after theft foiled ***** Yesterday evening at around 21:00hrs the NPT were alerted to a suspicious white van at a commercial site on the Marlborough Road in Royal Wootton Bassett. Just prior to the police arriving three people made off on foot. The NPT were able to secure a white long wheel based Ford transit van which contained pumps, hoses, tanks and thousands of litres of stolen diesel. The vehicle has been recovered and is awaiting forensic examination to try and track down those involved. We are asking for anyone who may have seen anyone acting suspiciously in the area at the time, or have any information in relation to this theft, to call Wiltshire Police on 101 or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111. Please share this post to help us catch these criminals. I can also report that the NPT located a male who has been wanted on a recall to prison. The male was being actively searched for over the past few weeks and he is now back behind bars and unable to make anyone else a victim of crime.
