Wits Pay R2m For Allie Word reaching the Siya crew is that PSL side, Wits, have completed the signing of Ajax Cape Town defender, Nazeer Allie, for R2 million. It was reported by Soccer-Laduma last week that the Clever Boys were keen to land the signature of the 28-year-old and had upped their efforts to secure his services. Now, after a bid of around R2m was accepted by the Urban Warriors, it is believed that the versatile defender has put pen to paper with Gavin Hunt’s side, although will be only officially unveiled later on in the month. Wits put in a R1.75m bid for Allie in the last transfer window, however Ajax decided to keep hold of their defender at that point, turning down the offer. With Hunt now in charge of the Braamfontein-based outfit it is believed that he gave the go ahead to pursue the player once again, a pursuit that has culminated in the player joining the Students for next season.
