Wizzard: I Wish It Could Be Christmas Every Day Of course, its around about this time each year that work starts to creep back up and I really do wish it could be Christmas every day so I wouldnt have to go back! But the reason I enjoy this song so much is that I had the pleasure of seeing Roy Wood play it live a couple of years ago at the Robin 2 in Bilston. Its actually quite something to hear the original artist play a very famous Christmas song live, as whether you like it or not youve been listening to it for years and now here it is, in front of you, live! Im not a fan of Roy Wood in the usual sense - I dont own any of his records, and I was at this particular gig because my friend Sam was supporting him - but Im glad I got to see him. Hes getting on a bit in years now, and sadly the time will come where he will have to call it a day. Given how long hes being going, Im very glad I got to see him before that happens!
