Woke up during the night and heard a sort of hissing sound; went to investigate. .... found nothing so went back to bed. Up early ... No more noise at first. Later different sound and lo and behold ... Found hot water heater leaking, REALLY leaking! This one is only 6 yrs old (2 months past warranty). Last one was only 4 years old (which by the way replaced a 5 year heater gone bad) and while down shore came home to a 2 foot flood that cost ins co coverage of $200k to do over entire 7 room apartment In basement including furnishings. I guess we do not have luck with hot water heaters lol Well this time installed with expansion tank etc. Just happy and I thank God that I knew enough to turn off the water to the heater. ;). and that all water from tank went into pan, to pump and outside. After last experience this was a piece of cake! ;)
