Woke up this morning for the first time not worrying about accomplishing anything. Ran way late last night when I got to Programs for Animals. The facility houses fewer animals than I have been used to, but some great ones. It is very clean and well staffed. They can always use more volunteers there and they got a new one. Starting tomorrow I will be helping with the food distribution. This is very similar to some of the activities that Christine and Rescue Well do there in Baltimore. Helping low income families to feed there animals. Lots of folks get help there. Las Cruces has a huge homeless community here and they do have healthy looking dogs. That was something I noticed straight away. There are opportunities for folks to get low cost spay/neuter, vaccinations and microchipping in the community. The programs are in place here and I cant wait to help. So to all of those transporting, volunteering, crossposting, rescuing, and donating have a safe journey this weekend in all you do. Please send me some good vibes as I do my first transport here in the state. Will be traveling with two senior cats who a local veterinarian took in when the owner brought them in to be put to sleep. They are going to rescue. Cant wait to see where transporting takes me in this beautiful state.................for those of you who dont know about it, Roswell Urgent Animals at Animal Control has animals in distress just like the Animal Advocates of Baltimore County so the wind may take me that way too.................
