Stowarzyszenie „Porozumienie Wschód – Zachód” poszukuje wolontariusza na zatwierdzony projekt Wolontariatu Europejskiego (EVS) w partnerskiej organizacji w Rumunii. Wolontariusz musi obecnie mieszkać w Polsce (nie ma znaczenia obywatelstwo wolontariusza). Wiek wolontariusza 18-30 lat. Zgodnie z zasadami programu, wolontariusz będzie miał zapewnione: zakwaterowanie, pełne wyżywienie, dodatkowe kieszonkowe na własne wydatki (60 EUR/miesiąc), ubezpieczenie, wsparcie językowe, a także zwrot 90% kosztów podróży w obie strony. Wolontariusz opłaci sam 10% kosztów podróży. OPIS PROJEKTU Tytuł projektu: DISCOVERING THE WORLD PLAYING DURATION: 11 months – from 01/09/2013 to 31/07/2014. SUMMARY OF THE PROJECT AND VOLUNTEER ACTIVITIES: The pre-school main objective is to help the children to develop their global capacities trough different kind of activities, one of which is teaching them English language. The project for the kindergarten depends on the team and the children needs. The volunteer will help to develop the project with the guidance of the responsible Educator (pre-school teacher) together with other members of the staff. The volunteer will work in one or more groups, supporting, participating and developing the following activities: helping the educator in activities in connection with teaching English as second language, the art and music teacher to lead the art and music courses, welcoming the parents and the children when they arrive to the nursery, in the morning circle time (singing, learning about the hour, the day and the date, choosing the daily leader, cutting and gluing, modelling using play dough, etc.), in free choice time (during this time each child will choose an activity which strengthens the unit lesson theme, and for example art, music or language lessons, etc., in transition), in visiting interesting places, in helping during the snack time, practical application time, transition (bathroom, dress up for outdoor activities, etc.), in free play on the playground, in helping during lunch time, in putting children to sleep, in hygiene, changing nappies, in playing games and saying goodbye to them. Personal Project: The volunteer is invited to initiate and develop her personal ideas and themes within the main aims and frame, according to her interests, ability, creativity and knowledge. She may teach the children new games, songs or may lead even a choir or a drawing club, she may teach them to play a musical instrument, may accompany them to the swimming lessons and help in other outdoor activities (excursions, skating etc.). Other Activities: The volunteer will participate and support holiday programmes as Christmas, carnival, Easter, mother’s day, child’s day, father’s day, sport’s day, etc. She will help the nursery teacher during the program in whatever activities she is asked to do that. WEEKLY PLANNING (WORKING HOURS, VACATIONS, WEEKENDS): Voluntary Work: 8 hours/day (1 hour lunch break, half of it for lunch, half of it for personal matters), 5 days/week from Monday to Friday (there are some exceptions, according to the activities of the HO/CO or the volunteer project and needs). Holidays/weekends: the volunteer has, in general, weekends off and the holidays are scheduled according with the needs of the volunteer together with the needs of the organisations. She may gather her two days off a month for a longer holiday during Christmas and Easter. The volunteer will participate at the MTM according the HO’s programme. Example of a typical day for the volunteer: 9,00 – welcome; 10,00 – taking part in regular activities, snack; 11,30 – activities, playground, arrange the rooms, 13,00 – hygiene, lunch time (13,00-14,00 lunch break for the volunteer with the children); 13,55 – short story time; 14,00 – story telling, sleep, 16,00 – snack time; 17,00 – good bye from children and evaluation of the day, working day ends (the schedule can be changed according to the needs). When the volunteer will prepare/develop “other activities” than the ones mentioned above, for example she will participate in meetings and evaluations, these schedules will be adjusted accordingly. POCKET MONEY: € 60 is paid to the volunteer whenever the money arrives to the bank account of the CsF, on the 14th of each month if that day is not in weekend. . PRACTICAL ARRANGEMENTS: Linguistic training: 10 weeks intensive training in Hungarian with a private teacher. Lodging: one room offered by the Csemete Foundation in the building of the CsF, shared with one of the other volunteers. The volunteer will stay in the guest room offered by the Csemete Foundation, and there is not allowed to have guests overnight, to smoke in the building or on the playground. Food: the volunteer will have her meals at the nursery school, having lunch together with the children and staff. Whenever is not possible to cook for her (weekends, holidays), she will buy her food and her expenses will be covered by the CsF up to 250 RON/month on the 14th of each month if that day is not in weekend. LEARNING PROCESS AND LEARNING OBJECTIVES: The volunteer will have the possibility to develop personal, social, professional competences related with planning, organisation and development of activities with children. She could learn how to make a self-evaluation; she could learn how to work in a team; she could develop patience, empathy and sense of observation; she can learn to work in a foreign country, with minority people using a different language and having a different culture. She could learn a new language; she could better understand her multicultural environment, European participation and citizenship by the development of activities in common with the other volunteers from Cluj. The volunteer will receive training from the Romanian National Agency in Bucharest in order to integrate better into the project. She will speak with the children in English. CRISIS PREVENTION/MANAGEMENT: The HO and CO is an experienced organisation, and is available to help and support the volunteer. The mentor will meet the volunteer and the supervisor regularly to notice any problems, crises or risk situations, in order to act and support, in advance, preventing serious situations that could endanger the success of the EVS project. The mentor is available to help and meet the volunteer whenever is needed and to integrate her in the community and the organisation. The meetings, promoted by the coordinating organisation, with the volunteer can be a way to prevent or solve crises situations. The volunteer’s participation in the EVS training cycle (on-arrival training, mid-term meeting and final evaluation) and evaluation process will be developed as a way to share, meet, evaluate and prevent. Whenever needed, contacts will be made with the SO in order to engage the partner, to pass information and to ask for support.
