Woman dont always get the respect that they deserve. Dont let your son grow up to be a male chauvinist. Teach him to respect women as equals, so he grows up into a fine young man who will do you proud. So , here are some points we must remeber being a son , being a husband , being a brother , being a father or being a HUMAN (if you are) # Teach your son to respect his sister as his equal. By doing this, you will be teaching him to respect all women as equals. # Dont interrupt her. Let her finish talking to you and then reply, even if half way through you think you know where the conversation is heading. Chances are she is talking to you about a subject because it is important. By listening to her you can acknowledge that her information is important to you. Also you might find that you missed out on an important point that she might have picked up about the subject of conversation # Give valid arguments. When in conversation about a certain topic, give valid arguments about the points raised. Dont insult a womans intelligence by being sarcastic about the subject because you might believe that she wouldnt know about it # Give positive feedback, or feedback in a positive way. When she has given her advice/opinion about a matter, give her feedback later as to how you used the information that she had provided and how it helped. This encourages future participation. # Dont expect your daughter to serve your son, or your son will expect the same of his wife. And if she does not meet his expectations, there will be marital discord. Similarly, teach your daughter to respect herself and her gender by not asking her to iron your sons clothes, or to prepare lunch for him when you or your cook are not available. They can order food from out. # Be a good role model for your child as a father. Respect your wife, and respect her opinions.
