Woman escapes abduction attempt near Forde shops in Gungahlin ------------- A 20-year-old woman has reported two men tried to abduct her from a street in the Canberra district of Gungahlin. Police said the woman was returning to her parked car on Zakharov Avenue near the Forde shops last Thursday when a black van with no registration plates stopped next to her. It is alleged the male driver remained in the vehicle while a man got out of a side door and grabbed the woman by her arm. When she resisted, he let go and the van drove away, police said. The man is described as Caucasian with very pale skin, clean shaven and about 175 centimetres tall. Police have conducted a doorknock of the surrounding area and are seeking surveillance vision from nearby businesses.
