Woman from Australia approaches my info desk today (at NYCB), asking about Baryshnikov and his history with NYCB. I respond, you mean Balanchine?! Oh, gee, is that his name? she responds. As a matter of fact, a few days ago I wound up across the plaza thinking I was at the ballet........ when the curtain rose and they started singing I realized I may have been in the wrong place! (she was at the Metropolitan opera!) .....not only do I get to people watch at the ballet, I get to people interact and its oftentimes very comical!
