Women and Heart Disease: Chest pain is not the most prominent symptom of a heart attack in women. Sometimes women have heart attacks without experiencing any chest pain. Did you know that women are more likely to have shortness of breath, nausea, vomiting, back, neck or jaw pain during a heart attack? Women may also have dizziness, light headaches, pain in the lower chest or upper abdominal pain during a heart attack.
