Women and girls on the autistic spectrum. On the 12th March 2014 Wiltshire council are holding a conference at the Corn Exchange in Devizes to discuss autism and the way it affects women and girls. Even after diagnosis, it can often be much harder for women and girls with autism, as many services are not geared up for meeting their needs This conference will examine the unique challenges facing women and girls with autism. It offers a great opportunity to hear from both professionals and ‘experts by experience’, to network with others in the field and to gain a wealth of knowledge, engage in debate and exchange new ideas. The conference is aimed at all with a personal or professional interest in women and girls with autism (a quiet room will be available); places are limited so early booking is recommended. There is no charge for this conference. To secure a place at the conference please email [email protected] with ‘Women and Girls Autism Conference’ in the subject header. Please state your name and profession or personal interest in the email. If you have any queries regarding the conference please contact [email protected] Lead Commissioner, Disabilities. Joining instructions and a programme for the day will be emailed to delegates prior to the conference
