Women have been discriminated, disadvantaged and oppressed against since the beginning of time, as early as the first people, Adam and Eve. Eve was called the evil one, who ate fruit from the tree of knowledge. Once she had the knowledge to know right from wrong, she chose to do wrong and give the fruit to Adam. Examples like these can be shown all over history books, in stories, tales and legends across the entire world. Women have been subordinate to men in virtually all societies throughout history. However scenario seems to be changing! Women are empowering, they have access to education, they have a significant role in a family to play, they have are empowered enough to make soul decisions, make financial gains or at least involve their selves in the decision making process. In other words it wouldn’t be inaccurate to say women are being empowered socially, morally, economically, psychologically and politically. In short “ changing roles of women are largely visual. In the run, there are still some of the women groups in this vast society who lacks access, “ SHANTI SEWA AASHRAM” thus, being “a place to learn” calls for these women group to vivid their growths, to come out from their four walls for elderly classes like such. It has been teaching such women groups from last 5 years, running with a belief that it’s never too late to start. Breaking oneself from the age barrier towards knowledge. Rectifying that women are no more subordinates and create their own stories and correcting the tale that No eve chose right over wrong… KRITI YOGI
