Women in Air Force - Flight Camp - Opportunity for Year 11 and 12 Girls to participate in an introduction to RAAF Aviation Careers The Royal Australian Air Force is excited to offer female students in years 11 and 12 female the opportunity to experience Air Force aviation careers. High achieving year 10 students may apply, however preference will be given to those in years 11 and 12. Dates: 4 – 7 March 2014 Location: RAAF Base East Sale What to expect: • Enjoy some hands on flying experience, including mission briefings and flying an Air Force simulator. • Have a look through Air Force aircraft. • An opportunity to engage and ask questions of Air Force women pilot and aircrew. • Experience Air Force life including living quarters, meals, training and a some leadership activities. • A chance to speak with Defence Force recruiting regarding all opportunities for Air Force employment. • There may be an opportunity to fly in an Air Force aircraft. What you need: • Parental permission if you are under 18 years old. • To be studying at least one of the following subjects: o Mathematical Methods o Specialist Mathematics o Physics • A willingness to extend yourself and experience things some people will never get to • An ability to commit to the full program - this means being able to stay for all 4 days, as well as participate in all of the activities to the best of your ability.
