Wonderful 19thC Fusee driven Wall Clock, circa 1820-50 recently aquired from a deceased estate and not been offered on the market before. Had been in family ownership in a remote mid wales farm... The Clock originally hung within Pontycelyn Baptist Chapel, Abergwesyn, mid Wales and was only removed as a precaution against theft. Cock face diameter is 12.5, face bares the following inscription Presented by Jn. Williams, Vedw External diameter of clock is 15, depth approx 6 Clock hands, face, glass etc is all original.. there is a small area of finish loss adjacent to the num 4 numeral Internal Clock movement is of brass & looks to be in very good, all clean condition , Fusee is Cat gut or other gut drive.. see pics movement plate behind face is stamped S.Baker, Birm clock is complete with Pendulum and key but requires a pendulum suspension spring before use.. two wood pegs are present, but a further two are missing..obviously these are easily sourced weighs..5.740 kg
