Wonderful daddy time with my youngest daughter, the beautiful Melissa Dube. We had dinner at the Texas Road House. I ate for free because I am a veteran. Everywhere I looked I saw signs of duty served among the patrons; a hat here, a tee shirt there, one man in an Air Force jacket and a Marine veteran in full uniform. I spoke to him briefly, he had served in 6 tours in Viet Nam. What caught my attention instantly and choked me up was the Missing Man Table, a dignified table set for one in solemn remembrance of those who did not come home. It was complete with candle, table cloth and flag and full place setting. I expect to see that at a VFW, a Legion Hall, or a dining facility on base I did NOT expect it in The Texas Road House. They obviously cared and went above and beyond to show it. All I can say is WELL DONE TEXAS ROAD HOUSE. You did right by this veteran. Thanks for the company, the big ass glass of beer, and a nice time Melissa. We need to hang out more often.
