Wonderful news today! Dr. Keith Thompson confirmed the pathology report that the problem is cancer on the spine --- BUT the cells are actually breast cancer cells which are exquisitely responsive to the medication Fafar was on for 5 years that kept further growth at bay for that long.. SO, the plan is to begin radiation as soon as she gets out of the hospital, 10 treatments in the next 2 weeks, and resume the previous medication. SO no need for chemotherapy! Hallelujah!!! And better yet, Fafars pain is being managed better and better, and she will likely be going home TOMORROW! Dr. Thompson will supervise her pain management at home. The IV has been been removed, and she is feeling much more comfortable. Fafar has been keeping up with your loving messages, is overwhelmed with the outpouring of love, prayers and good wishes, and is eternally grateful for the sweetness of your support.
