Wondering what the bible says about apathy? Hebrews 6 has some answers... Hebrews 6:10-12 For God is not unjust. He will not forget how hard you have worked for him and how you have shown your love to him by caring for other believers, as you still do. Our great desire is that you will keep on loving others as long as life lasts, in order to make certain that what you hope for will come true. Then you will not become spiritually dull and indifferent. Instead, you will follow the example of those who are going to inherit God’s promises because of their faith and endurance. What are we hoping for? Transformation of lives here, there, everywhere! Keep loving people, keep pushing through, its totally worth it! God notices your hard work and diligence! Dont ever stop as long as you live, whether here in Orlando, some other state, or in the nations! For then the dream God put in you will come true! You will see transformed lives. It is only when we give up (even momentarily) that we become apathetic, indifferent. When we choose not to love, be humble, stick to the vision, thats when we become spiritually dull. In other words, its disobedience that leads us to this awful place of indifference or numbness. Choose love. Choose faith. Choose endurance. Look at the examples of those who finished well! Abraham, people in the bible who finished the race. Choose to love Jesus in the morning when you get up, whether you feel like it or not. Choose to love the person in front of you. Choose to run the race set before you. And through His mighty power of grace (that accepts you, holds you, keeps you, empowers you)-- you will never live another apathetic day in your life! You werent made for it! You are made for Jesus, His friendship and a vessel to transform the lives of others! Go and do it! Sorry apathy, I think I just kicked your teeth in! :) Love you all! John
