Wood chewing is different from cribbing. Wood chewers chew fences and/or trees, other horses tails or lick dirt. There are two main reasons why horses do this aside from boredom: 1) they are looking to ease digestive problems that they may be having and 2) they are looking for specific nutrients as in vitamins or minerals. For easing digestive problems supplement with Pro-Colon probiotics and Five Herb Digest.
