Woodrow is a gorgeous Great Pyrenees with the thick, luxurious fur and big, blocky face typical of the breed. He is energetic in play but his favorite activity is lying around with his favorite human. He adores children, but older children would be best, since he just doesnt know how big he is and can knock over little ones without meaning to. He is very affectionate and smart, and learns quickly. He sits if you gently press his back and say sit, he lays down, and is starting to learn to not jump on people. That ones hard for him; hes just so happy to see you! He was doing a good job with potty training and showed inclinations that he might be easily kennel trained; he would gladly go into the small bathroom at night for me, and would not bark or have accidents in there. Like most Pyrs, he hadnt quite figured out come or stay. He wants very much to please his people. He doesnt care about chasing cats or chickens, but can be food defensive/aggressive towards other dogs and towards livestock. He doesnt like to see other animals eating, oddly enough. He can go over a 4 foot fence. He can be a bit of a counter-surfer; all food within reach needs to be put up! He just didnt understand it wasnt for him. I anticipate hell get better about this as he grows and learns the rules, but its just better for everyone if he doesnt have access to people food. He loves to be brushed!
