Words cannot express our experience at the FSMA Conference over the last few days! We witnessed humanity at its BEST! We met a therapist from Argentina who came all the way down here to learn how to best care for her one and a half year old patient back home. She mentioned that there was only 1 Cough Assist that she knew of in the entire country! That therapist is going back to Argentina with a Cough Assist THANKS TO A GENEROUS SMA MOM who had an extra one!!!! That will not only be life changing for this one and a half year old, but will open the door to help others as well! Next, we met a family from Canada who had an SMA Type 2 son without any equipment. They also needed a Cough Assist and wheelchair. THANKS TO ANOTHER AMAZING SMA FAMILY - this Canadian Family will now have those two very necessary items! We are honored to know such generous families doing whatever it takes to help each other out! It was Great to meet new families, visit with other SMA Families and make new relationships that are sure to last a lifetime!
