Words cant describe this weekend. It could only be experienced by being there with us. Saturday night at East Side Bapt with NewGround. When we began talking about the idea to do a blended service we could not imagine the response we would get from all our friends. We are thankful to all the kind words and how you were blessed. You know, the bible says, How GOOD and pleasant it is when we dwell together in unity.. Talk about a display of unity! If you missed this one - well - we are working on another possibly in the Memphis area. It was a great night. Sunday morning at New Hope Holy Church of Christ we not only got to sing to a congregation that loves Southern Gospel Music but we got to hear some good singing too!! Then if it couldnt get any better - some good old fashioned shuck the corn preachin! Sunday night at Blooming Grove Baptist - once again overwhelmed at our friends who came out to support us that has heard us so much that we have reach back in the vault to sing something they hadnt heard all weekend. :) When we took a water break, Shay walks into the hall and a young man was sitting there. He was requesting help with a place to stay and looked as if life had taken its toll on the young man. Shay came back into the service and spoke to the pastor and they sent their ministry team out to speak to the young man. Now, what are the odds that an addict walks into a church that has one of the areas strongest Celebrate Recovery chapters - not to mention a former member now a deacon of the church!! This young man had no idea - he came requesting a ride to a shelter.. well they escorted him into the presence of Jehovah! The young man gave his heart to Christ. That, along with getting to meet several young people that was so encouraging to us and how they enjoyed what we were doing in our service to the Lord. We give GOD GLORY!! Now, pray for us as we travel Monday night into Tuesday to sing at a Seniors Conference in Grenada MS..
