Worked. Like. A. Charm. As we pulled up to the hotel, I grabbed my envelope of tricks and said to Jereme (before the valet took out our luggage and he would then see that I packed LITERALLY every single article of Yankees clothing he owns....literally): Alright so well check in and youll probably want to go ahead and change clothes before dinner so that youre dressed appropriately.... and then I handed him his first set of tickets to the Brewers/Yankees game. He had no idea they were in Milwaukee today so the first surprise was a success. I then proved to be a TOTAL champion for sitting there...all night...following him down to good seats before and after the game, as he hoped to catch an up close glimpse of a Yankee...looking longingly at the good section of seats behind their dugout....trying to make it into the souvenir shops even after they were closed because he wanted to track down every piece of memorabilia he could...and then be a brat and say we should go to the game tomorrow too!and so on and so on.... So when we got back to the hotel he opened up his birthday card from me to see we have tickets to tomorrows game...the LITERAL ROW behind visitors dugout. Then I handed him an envelope and said I mean this is just kinda anticlimactic compared to everything so its not a big a deal but...theres also this... Yes well in that envelope were our seats for the game on Sunday, but this time in outfield (because lets face it- I work a free newspaper...Im not rich). Oh- I also packed his glove so he could try to catch a foul ball or home run on Sunday. I still have a few tricks up my sleeve but those were the biggies. He really thinks he can compete with me for my birthday- lets face it- he cant. mwa hahahaaaaaaaa #jaymoaint28nomo #whateverbabywantsbabygets
