“Workers at N.Y.U.’s Abu Dhabi Site Faced Harsh Conditions”: Far too many universities treat on campus workers terribly and now it seems at least one thinks its OK to do the same thing overseas – thanks NYU for showing us all the contradiction between teaching a good game and actually playing a quite dirty one! I know, I know, apologists will claim NYU had no control over the situation - read the piece. They negotiated an elaborate agreement to precent the very things from happening that in fact took place. They forgot somehow that the agreement needed to be enforced. Garment manufacturers claim the same ignorance when their subcontractors screw over their workforce too!
