Working... "A few of the tall windows back here were broken, and the world had come in through the gaps to reclaim its own just the way it always does sooner or later. Grass and low brush and a couple of young trees reaching for to the sun. Janey pictured this place fifty years from now when the trees had grown up and lifted the roof clean away and let in more nature. She wondered how much would be left of this building in the end. Maybe the foundation and maybe not even that if you gave it sufficient time. For now this was a distinct place they’d entered into, an intact space that shut out other things to a greater or lesser extent, but with the passage of time it wouldn’t even be that. There wouldn’t be anything like an inside anymore. It would all be in pieces and eventually not even pieces big enough to see. Just atoms. Everything reduced and everything renewed."
