Working at the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame has got me thinking a lot about music again and I think I need to get something off my chest so Ill just get straight to the point. I think I hate Kurt Cobain. Allow me to elaborate. First, Nirvana is overrated. Period. Musically, it is rudimentary at best. Lyrically/vocally... Kurt is annoying both in tone and subject matter. He is purposefully vague and cryptic and it bores me. Which brings me to Kurts personality. Classic hipster. Cooler than everyone else. Unable to laugh at himself or crack a smile much of the time. Pseudo intellectual. Pretentious. Overly sensitive. Downright dramatic. The greasy hair and green sweater are gross. He looks like he smells bad. But most of all... He married Courtney Love so all of his cool guy act. What intelligent guy in his right mind would do that?
