Working in the bush tip #21 (or stuff city folks dont think about...) After a spring day working in the field in a grassland ecosystem, immediately remove all your clothing when you get to the truck at the end of the day. Change into your fresh clothing and put bush clothes into the back of the truck (NOT the cab). When you get to the hotel room, hang your bush clothes up in the closet. Inspect your body for ticks (a mirror is helpful unless you do lots of yoga or have an owl-like neck or are with a very friendly, and liberal, workmate). In the morning, before you put your bush clothes back on, check the top of the clothing. If you picked up any ticks on your clothing the day before theyll be at the top of your clothes. Burn the little pricks in the sink with a lighter. Or drown them in one or your empties from the night before.
