Working on step work, just painted my nails (thanks to my sister Heather for the pretty purple nail polish), enjoying quiet time - 6 more hours to go this morning. Im grateful for my recovery and the changes it has brought in my life. I have not been perfect AT ALL but I do see small spurts of growth here and there - its almost comical reading through old messages between me and my sponsor - reading what I wrote and realizing how utterly insane I sounded. Some days Im not honest, open-minded or willing to do what it takes to keep my recovery - and other days (like today) - Im able to let go of my pride and fear, and do whats right even when it hurts and theres a strong chance of losing something or someone I care about in the process. I love recovery and my heart is full of gratitude right now!
