Working on the forecast right now, cold tonight thats a lock with single digit lows which leads us into a cold Monday with highs teens to lower 20s. In terms of snow, there wont be all that much on Monday, some light nuisance stuff more likely in the pm/eve. Signficant snow with a developing Noreaster is not likely until after midnight Monday night and through Tuesday, when the combination of a very dry snow and a strong NNW wind with gusts from 20-30 mph will make for difficult travel conditions. Storm track is NOT a lock and our region will be on the western edge of this system which wont exist until tomorrow night. And typically with intense Noreasters there is a sharp precip. cut-off which means the region of heavy to major snow is finite. It is possible that the heavy snow zone will make it as far west as the Hudson valley but its also possible it will not, which would mean lighter snow for NY counties. Should have a prelim. snow projection map out shortly.
