Working since 2009 as a pharmacy lab tech, one of the meds I - TopicsExpress

Working since 2009 as a pharmacy lab tech, one of the meds I prepare for our hospitals is Vancomycin to be served to patients who have contracted C.Diff. The hospitals orders have steadily increased, and are currently at an all time high. . . C.Diff is very serious and directly related to the levels of cleanliness and sanitation in the hospitals. What has happened in hospitals due to budget cuts is that there is fewer properly trained cleaning staff and less spent on cleaning supplies . .. meanwhile hospital budget savings are multiplied many fold as a cost to Medicare treating C.Diff not to mention the huge human cost, C.Diff is extremely hard to cure, the vanco treatment takes a long time for patients, C.Diff really is a killer. My hope today is our Premier, a doctor, will address this situation.
