Working with linemen is in many ways like working with firefighters so many funny stories that might fall into the Buffett category of semi-true Today one was telling about him being a country boy and going on a date to the drive in. He said he remembered his mom making him popcorn and a jug of well water to take to the drive in date. He picked up his date and she was a girl from town. So she was more worldly than he was. When they got to the drive in she moved over towards him and kissed him. The kiss got deeper and soon they were French kissing and he said he liked it. But then she asked him if he wanted to get in the back seat. He said he answered no I want to stay up here in the front seat with you Later another guy was talking about his ex-girlfriend. He said they were living together but he was out of town a lot with work. Soon he began hearing stories of his wife being with other guys while he was gone. Dismayed he went and talked to his dad and told his he thought his girlfriend was sleeping with everyone in ( town in Ky name deliberately left out) . His dad looked at him and said well son you still have something to be glad about That confused him so he asked his dad what that was. His dad replied ( town in Ky name deliberately left out) is a small town, son. Probably not the most politically correct stories but it sure reminded me of some of the days in the firehouse.
